onkyo receiver tx-sr674

Hi,I have a rx-7520 jvc receiver and acoustic profiles surround speakers.I'm woundering if there would be much different in sound and power if i bought a onkyo tx-sr674 receiver.My receiver when i turn it up it shut down and says overload.Some tips would really help me on this mattet.Thank you.

If you have a sub, you can make sure your speakers are set to "small" in the reciever speaker setup menu. This can reduce the load on the receiver quite a bit.
