onkyo pairing

Hey all I bought the onkyo 607, I have infinity primus 162 left ,right and 350 center,also infinity ps 210 sub I was not able to hear my speakers with the receiver and I wont be hooking it up for a week or two, question how will these speakers pair with the onkyo 607, I also will be using my panny dmp bd 30 blue ray. thnks for the advice.

Should mesh perfectly fine. Make sure that you use the Audessey auto equalizer (uses the supplied microphone). After setting that up maybe toy a bit with the subwoofer settings (level, cross-over points) and make sure all speakers are set to small once the auto calibration is over.

Many people have the misconception that a receiver has a distinct audio signature and that it should only be used with certain types/brands of speakers to render good quality sound. This could not be further from the truth. Good speakers setup correctly that are adequately powered will sound as good as the speakers, room acoustics, and original recording (dvd, blu-ray, cd, mp3) will allow.

You should hook it up now, so you can start enjoying it.

I am dying to hook it up but I am almost done building my stereo cabinet when its done I will have a new home for all my equip, hopefully in a week or two but man I cant wait. I built this cabinet out of poplar its 68"x26hx21d with 3 drawers 2 for dvds and 1 for remotes,

Sounds like you've got a problem, no audioholic would ever let an incomplete stereo cabinet stop them from hooking up a new toy.

I have a 1007 and the 607 will push anything. Your going to love it.
