Onkyo NR807 video passthrough question.

I own a Onkyo NR-807, and I had a question regarding video passthrough. I've studied the manual regarding settings for hooking all of the inputs & having one single cable connected to the back of the television.

My problem is specifically related to watching cable television. I'm usually switching from 1080i (16:9) content, to channels with 480i (4:3). Now, on the "Picture Adjust" section in the manual, the Zoom Mode is set by default to "auto". This is suppose to leave it up to the receiver whether or not the signal that is sent to the television is in Normal, Full, or Zoom mode. The problem is, it is always at "Full" mode for (4:3) content, which causes the (4:3) image to stretch.

Is there *any* way to set the receiver to pass the video signal through without the receiver making any alterations, or am I stuck with having all of my inputs in the back of the t.v. again?
