I recently purchased an Onkyo NR807 and can't get the HDMI inputs to work. I'm trying to connect my cable box to the receiver using the cable boxes HDMI output. It works if I connect it to input #1 which is labeled DVD; I want to use this input for my blue ray player, so I've tried connecting it to all of the remaining HDMI inputs without success.
According the the user manual the inputs are assignable, I've tried using the setup procedure listed in the manual on page 48 without success. All HDMI inputs except the DVD (which I assume has been already assigned) give me an HDCP Authorization Failure / HDMI ports locked message. I don't believe I the cable box is the issue as it works on HDMI input number 1.
Has anyone run into this problem? More importantly, does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve the problem.
