Onkyo NR6464 not passing through HDR from Xbox One S?

I have a NR646. Just got a Xbox One S. The NR6464 says "resolution err" on the display when I try to play a 4K HDR Blu-ray. The screens says that the TV is not HDR compatible (it is - KS8000). Please help!

I have the same TV and had a similar issue when I first set it up. You have to go into the TV settings and enable the feature under the expert video settings menu called "HDMI UHD Color". Try that and see if you still get the same errors.

I had it turned off following calibration of the TV (I typically turn most if not all "enhancements" off but turns out that was one I actually needed in order for external devices to see that it is actually an HDR TV). I also have an Xbox one s connected to it, same as you.
