Has anyone bought this receiver? I am leaning towards the 5007 for its features and its price. I have heard from one person from AVS forum and he really is happy. Let me know your thoughts. I did check out the upcoming Intregra which I believe is the DTR-80 model and it seems to be identical in specs to the Onkyo.

If I needed one I would likely have bought this one.:D I bet this thing is going to be the most powerful receiver and feature rich at its price point ($2500). I am not sure if Onkyo AV receivers are as reliable as comparable Denon/Yamaha products and it will likely run quite hot. You may want give it lots of room to breathe, and may be add a little CPU fan to help cool it down for better longevity.

I own the 1007 and love it to death. It does get a little warm, but not too bad. The hottest I have seen it get is 99*, it has a built in thermostat to read the temp.

The Onkyo TX-NR5007 is probably the best BANG for the buck.

Only time will tell about it's longetivity and durability, but I'm prepare to bet on it. :)

If it only gets to 99 (assuming it is deg F) there must be an internal fan that kicks in early.
