Onkyo HT-S9300THX/ HT-R980 receiver HUD issue

My heads up display no longer works. It just stopped overnight. I have contacted Onkyo customer support via email but they stated it will be a while before I hear from a rep. Does anybody else have this receiver and can possibly offer me any advice? I do miss the volume showing up on screen but my biggest concern is no longer being able to access the menu options visually. All items used are connected via HDMI. I have even switched the cables out. I hope somebody has some answers.

Fixed Onkyo 9300 HUD Issue?

I have the same problem. Confirmed the HUD is enabled in the Onkyo menu, but volume and input setting no longer appear. Any ideas? It just stopped working all of a sudden.

Another known problem with Onkyblow. Apparently there are some resistors to the display which burn out, either because they are under rated or they were too cheap to use a voltage regulator, probably the latter.
