I purchased this decent htib about a month ago, but have since noticed a major problem. When watching satellite or playing xbox 360, the audio will clip for just a split second. The clipping occurs at random intervals and always only lasts for a second at most. Strangely enough, when I watch a dvd via my philips player, the clipping doesn't seem to happen (or maybe I just don't notice it). All sources are hooked up via hdmi. I have emailed Onkyo support twice and twice they have instructed me to reset the receiver. Anyone else have an idea? I really don't want to send this thing out for repair so soon after buying it. Thanks.

You need to define clipping, I have a feeling it means something very different to you than us.

To is slipping is and overloaded signal with the peaks clipped causing distortion.

If you mean the signal is cutting in and out, it will be an HDMI hand shake issue and the HDCP codes, not being recognized properly and will likely be a system incompatibility rather than a unit being defective.
