Onkyo HT-RC360 HDMI Inputs not working all of the sudden?

I was hoping someone might able to offer some suggestions.

I've got an Onkyo HT-RC360 with my DVR hooked up to Cable/Sat and my Blu-Ray to the BD HDMI inputs on the receiver. All of the sudden the rear inputs have stopped working. I have seen a few posts with the same problem but not sure what the fix/resolution is.

Here's what I've tried:

1) Replaced cables
2) Left device off for a while
3) Factory Reset
4) Plugged DVR box into front (Aux) port and it works fine

Have noticed that the signal is showing Analog and not HDMI. Pretty sure I've defined it that HDMI 3 is Cable/Sat and it's not switching to the HDMI signal.

My Xbox is hooked up to the Optical sound on the back and it works along with the networking and streaming music feature.

Has anyone found a resolution to this? I assume it's in warranty, but their website says you just "send it in." I bought it on Amazon about 5 months ago, so I'm kind of hosed to return to them.

You wouldn't happen to know if someone else had access to your remote control, would you? Sometimes kids or spouses (or even you) press buttons, and it seems like something doesn't work anymore. It might be a hardware issue, or something might have just gotten tweaked in the settings.

It caught my attention that you mentioned that the signal is showing Analog instead of HDMI. Check out page 50 of the owner's manual where it talks about "Audio Selector." Your receiver might have been set so that it always uses the analog audio inputs regardless of whether HDMI is connected or not.

I just had the same problem right before I googled for answers. I didn't do #4 that you did, but when I did, it worked. So like you the back ports don't work and then front one does. It an Onkyo TX-NR609. Did you happen to figure this out, if it ever started working again? I'd appreciate any information you have for getting it to work.

Does your display show the input signal as "Analog" if you use the back ports? This is a fairly common issue in that somehow the input signal selection is toggled from "HDMI" or "Auto" (or the equivalent term for a certain manufacturer) to "Analog." My buddy's wife unintentionally toggles it all of the time with the universal remote that came with their cable box.

no, it shows HDMI. Electrician's were working on power issues and after they were done, they fixed the problem, but the inputs of my HDTV and my surround sound receiver quit qorking. In which a DVR was plugged into both the tv and receiver. The only similarity between the two is the DVR was plugged directly into the 2, and both inputs of both devices quit working, except the DVR is still in full use.

Well, Onkyo is pretty notorious for this type of failure lately

I have the new DirectTV box and I have lost my output HDMI. The inputs are working fine but I get nothing on the TV. Can you tell me how you know that the power from the DirectTV box caused the problem?

The problem started intermittently just after the new box was installed and now it toast.
