Onkyo HT-R380 & Sharp LC-32X20E - ARC issue

Hi All,

I'm wanting to get my TV's audio outputted through my Onkyo amp via the HDMI Out port (currently connected to my TV), but not having any luck.

Here's what I have done so far:

* HDMI Out connected to HDMI port on TV
* 'HDMI Control (RIHD)' setting on amp turned ON
* 'Audio Return Channel' set to AUTO
* Switched amp to 'TV/CD' input selector

But no sound from my amp

I have gone through all of the settings on the TV but cant see anything I would need to enable ARC on my TV. I presume the TV does support ARC, unless I am mistaken?

Can anyone please help?

That model TV is at least 2 years old so I doubt it supports Audio Return. That is a fairly new feature that really has only been implemented for the last year. In all the search results there is no discussion of that TV supporting ARC.
