Thanks Gene for updating. Looks like Onkyo's AVR line isn't going away that easy. So Sharp going to be taking over manufacturing Onkyo's, Pioneer AVR line, warranty's will still be honored. That's good news for Onkyo, Pioneer owners.

From what I’m seeing, with the original ONKYO gone, I’m somewhat apprehensive about buying future ONKYO products. It seems as though ONKYO has been having some reliability problems over the recent years - most noticeably with the av receivers. I had problems with a few. I guess that what happens from here remains to be seen.

The recall over faulty HDMI boards some time ago, really didn't inspire confidence in the brand.
