My Onkyo BD 807 plays my cd without glitch.

However when I play my Blu-ray disk it is refusing to play.

Is this a new issue? Did you try a different cable? Do you hear the audio?

I have not tried a different cable.

DVD, DVD audio and cds work just fine.

Audio sounds like 1500 CD Player. It has the a really good dac on board.

I've had this happen many times on PC optical drives...back when I actually used them.

Your laser is dying. Reading cd's is easy compared to Bluray discs.
Time for a new player.

New issue. I tried a new cable. Unresponsive. I hear audio. DVD a, cd, DVD all play fine.
