I have an Onkyo 6.1 AV Reciever that's about 2 years old. The problem is at times, the talking part (center speaker) just kind of fades out while playing a movie. All the other speakers work correct, no fading.

IF you walk across the carpet, build up a static charge, and touch the reciever, it fixes it. Sometimes it will stay fixed all night.. other times you have to shock it more than once.

Has anyone every heard of something like this?

Cannot say I have heard this. But then, I haven't heard about a lot of things out there:D

Have you checked your connections to the speakers? May want to check the wires and all the input plugs for corrosion?
