Onkyo a-809 amplifier to new led tv

I have an old 809 amplifier and love it!! All I have are RCA connections and no outputs on the tv, my amp also does not have optical. Any suggestions on this tiny problem????:(

Welcome to the forum!

You can buy a converter to turn the digital optical signal into a stereo signal for your amp like this one (shown below) for about $25.

Before considering that, though, does your TV have a headphone output? If you're unsure, just let us know the model number, and we can check it out.

sorry, it does not, it is a samsung 55 8000 series led tv.

You can connect the headphone jack to one of the analog audio inputs on the Onkyo using a cable like this one (shown below). Several places sell those cables (and similar adapters). They are really inexpensive.
