Both have 9.2 pre outs, both are 9.2 processors, both THX cert. Onkyo is more readily available at (street) price, solid street availability at $849 is sole competitive edge for the Onkyo. Searching for guidance. Tim

Going to search watts x 2 chnls driven and volts RMS at pre-outs to compare further.

I doubt Denon has purchased THX certification....nor do I see any evidence of such but don't think it's meaningful in any case. Any other features that are important to you like the room correction software? I'd think the Audyssey XT32 is superior to the Onkyo AccuEQ. Unless you find bench tests, hard to get hard details on pre-out voltage. 2ch driven specs I think both provide, but a bench test is also better (didn't look for either avr, tho).
