My 875 is 5 months old. 2 days ago the display on the unit stopped working. Anyone heard of this happening? Anyone have a solution besides mailing the unit to the service center? I really dont want to be without it for a month. Thanks in advance.

Not to be insulting, but check and make sure that you didn't set the dimmer to have the display be off (I read that about another Onkyo display problem on another forum).

Also, perhaps it is the LED in the display. Check out this link for some info on that - not for an Onkyo, but some info about displays.

The first two things I checked was the dimmer function and pure audio setting. Neither proved to be the culprit. I dont know about the LED being faulty. Im pretty sure I would void the warranty if I took the housing off.

I figured that you checked, but it never hurts to ask. :)

I don't know if it would help with a display being out, but with a number of electronic devices unplugging a unit for a while and then plugging it back in can help.

Okay. I unplugged for several minutes. No change. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to send it to the repair center. Thanks for your help.

Its an onkyo! Sorry for your loss.
Another member has a problem with a Marantz receiver.

Receivers!

I tell you what!

You guys just need to get rid of all your receivers and buy integrated amps.:D
