Dear all,
I've bought an Onkyo 875, but I am facing some problems with the settings. The receiver doesn't deliver any image to the TV and regarding the sound, only full mono and full stereo. Before taking it to the warranty service, I would like to know if there is any setting guidance that I might be missing.
I am in Indonesia, and I would like to ask for any service only as very last option.
The speakers autotest has been performed, what means that connexions and speakers are ok.
The HDMI cable is properly hooked, but it delivers only sound to the TV.
Any clue???????

Can you describe your setup in more detail?
You will have to select HDMI as the input source for anything plugged in via HDMI as on page 48 of the manual.

You will also need to select HDMI Monitor = Yes as on page 46 of the manual.

As Davemcc indicated the page numbers. However, setting up the new components gets tougher with each new advancement, a daunting task.
So, read your manual carefully. We will be here to help.

Hi guys

Excuse-me, it may be dummy question, but if the source is connected into the receiver by any other connector different of HDMI, it means that I can not connect the receiver to the TV by the HDMI to watch that source?

Rgding the settings, I went through the manual, but it did not work, but I will check it again.

I'll come back soon.

Tks

Actually, this receiver will convert all input sources to HDMI output. Also, it will deinterlace and scale all your sources to whatever output resolution you choose. You have a very fine and powerful receiver that will perform many functions, but it may be a little complicated at first. Pay very close attention to the manual.

What TV are you using? Perhaps your TV is not HDCP compliant and the receiver cannot "handshake" with the TV.

Dear friends,
I have commited one mistake: I did not mark YES for HDMI as observed in the first email. Now, everything is ok, but thhe signals do not go through the the HDMI cable, but the three colors ones.

Rgds

Maybe you can change it to upconvert onto HDMI instead of component, or don't run component video to your tv, just an HDMI cable.
