well i owned all three and currently own only the 806. i had asked alot about the 354 and the pioneer and had been misled by plenty of members. just wanted to know what everyone thinks overall.

almost everyone told me that the HK is full of bugs, guess what it wasnt full of em. it had a few but were not noticeable. as for the audio issue HK had no issues with audio. whereas th pioneer was full of video lag issues. ex. ps3 menu when you move through the menu it is very noticeable. and the audio sucked. very bland and empty feeling.

I don't know if I was one of them, but I could have been. It's been pretty well documented that the HK line has had a bad track record as far as HDMI/HDCP implementation. And that comes from those who were previously HK fans as well. You can use the search engine at AVS, for instance.

You may or may not have received bad advice. It sometimes happens. People typically try their best, and once in a while will lead you astray. I've misled people before, but its just something I have to swallow for most of the time I do believe I am helping. Just comes with the territory.

HK released a firmware upgrade recently so you may have gotten an updated unit. I have a soft spot myself for HK receivers.
