Onkyo 705 update

Okay, its all good now.

The other night after spending over an hour plus swapping receivers (putting in the new "Onk") I had the no picture, but sound thing going on....

Then my 16 year old whos been in the living room the whole time (on the computer) says "Oh yea, the TV don't work" Realllllllllllllllllllly mad at this point. Its the crappy Cable box, got a new one, all's well.

Last night (following the instructions) did the automatic speaker setup; The 705 ran thru the cycle, okay, all the speakers produced the test tone (including the sub) but the receiver can't find it Rolling thru the menus, the sub is on, weird.

We watched "Emeny at the Gates" last night, so yea the Sub works

Thank you, I'd better get cracking with the reading.

I have a question:

Santa is bringing a PS 3 and HDMI cable (okay its here, at work, now.)
Can I program, assign an HDMI output channel on the Onk now prior to hooking up the PS 3? Cause Christmas day its going to be tough, the whole family is coming over

You sure can. Heck you could even rename the input so it will say PS3 on the display.
