I'll just copy and paste my post at another site.....

EDIT::
Nevermind that price..
LOL, I found it even cheaper, and for the third time J&R did the pricematch (WOW). 579.48 shipped.
To get that price (for others), go to 6ave.com enter in coupon code AFL5
As long as WHERE you shop, is PriceGrabber listed, the other companies SHOULD pricematch.
That is the lowest price I have seen on this AVR in 2 months.
So yes, J&R did credit back my card. :)

Out of the 10 companies listed on Pricegrabber, by chance I have dealt with 8 of them.
And yes, I have an account even at 6ave. (no problems with my 1 order from them, about 2 years ago)
The others I would recommend (CLEARLY J&R.com)
also B&H.com (although they can be a pain to deal with for pricematching), Onecall, Authorized Electronics, Circuit City, Crutchfield, Vann's.

The other 2, no I have not dealt with (yet). ABT.com and HiFiTrader.com

Funny NOBODY jumped on this deal.
Heck, mine will be here today:D

But, strangely my posts do disapear when ever I log off.
So I can see that this post did not get many views (for such a popular item)..

Here is what I posted on another forum (just got mine today)

Yep, got here safe & sound (pun intended). (I was off by 3 hours)

Man, the thing reminds me of a small (15+ year old) Sony Pro-Logic AVR I still have...
It's small. Fairly light, nothing compared to the last few AVRs I've had (and MUCH smaller than the current Pioneer, as well 20 pounds lighter)

Wish they would have included a cover for the front outputs, for a cleaner look.
If I would not be selling it in a few months, I would have gone to the 805 for the cleaner look on the front (not that looks matter that much).

Pics can be uploaded (if needed,) but no reason to as it is the same as what is already on-line :p

(4 hours go by, and then I finally get around to hooking it up)....

All I can say is WOW.:D:eek::D

What a difference, the processing on this 705 BLOWS away a 1,000.00+ Pioneer Elite (56). (also my Sony, and the other Pio I had the 1015)

Cons, yes the amp section is NOT even close to the Pioneer (but I had figured that with the 20 pound difference).
Since it is trying harder to push the speakers, YES it gets VERY hot (and that is with the 705 both fans running).
And I am already on Pre-order for both new Emotiva amps (1 each of the XPA-2 and XPA-5)
So no worries (for now).

The menu system is VERY in-depth, and allows for mass amount of correction.
Honestly, the LMC-2 will have to be seriously better for me to upgrade to another pre/pro.

Have not even got into the Audissey Multi EQ yet, as I have only setup manual settings (as well, quickly with my meter).

SACD has NEVER sounded better, same applies to BDs (2 movies I quickly tried were The Patriot and Cars)
Envelopes the sound with ease, WITH VERY CLEAR sounds NEVER heard before..
Now I have to hook-up the HD DVD player, etc.... (PS3 already hooked up)

Very nice, and the price for such quality is just downright amazing.:D:);)
Sadly we can not talk about prices on AVS, but I assure you the 570.00 shipped ballpark is easy to find (with FULL warranty).
Just google.;)

Granted, it is worth so much more.

Picked up the HD-A35 so I can see the front of this say Dolby TrueHD:D

Anyhow, I thought the Audessey was going to be ALL that, I was wrong.
I like my manual settings much more.
I also think that Pioneer's MCACC is much better (i used it 50% of the time).
This new auto setup, I would not bother with.
The 705 does blow away the Pioneers processing, granted Iam going by the new audio formats (TrueHD, DD+, & DTS-MA) which I am getting now, but I want to see how well exactly the 705 does that is why I picked up a A35.

Anyhow, the 705 will be for sale when the LMC-2 (Emotiva) comes out. So if anyone is interested, just PM me.
Also have a Toshiba HD-XA1 (SUPERB Picture Quality) for sale for a measly 80.00 and whatever shipping cost are.
I will post these in the for sale area, I just brought them up for the sake of comparison (ATM).
