I tried doing a speaker set-up with the mic that came with the unit.I now find that some channels are louder than others depending I guess on the eq settings but I don't know how to change the equalizer settings so the sound will not be so different from one setting to another. It is fine if I turn the eq settings to off but it just sounds flat.I am not sure what to do,Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try the manual setup . . .

Verify that the speaker distances are accurate, all speakers SMALL, proper crossover frequency, sub on, etc. Check the volume levles by ear or with an SPL meter.

Once all the basics are there, then you can mess with the PEQ setting to help correct for room problems. The auto setups on some receivers are not perfect, so check the results.
