Tip.
I tried the factory reset too.... When i plug it in, it starts clicking (like the sound when you turn it on and off) - it just keeps doing that. If I press the power switch, it goes to standby, and the clicking stops.
Really sounds like you need a new power switch, perhaps not.
* Try this: Turn the receiver OFF. Unplug the power cord from the wall. Unplug all the interconnects from all your components. Unplug all the speaker's wires. Inspect the power cord for faults. Check at the back of your receiver, where the power cord goes in, to see if there isn't any loose play. Open the top cover of your receiver.
* Inspect where the power cord goes in for any loose connections (that's an important spot). Check the wires going from the main power to the power switch.
Inspect the power switch for any loose wire connections. Make sure everything is tight and secure. Inspect the fuses around the rear of the receiver for any damage (don't have to remove them, if they look fine); use a small mirror to see if the filament of one of them is not broken.
Around the power switch, make sure everything is thight, and there is no loose parts (screws, wires...).
After inspection is all done and everything is tight and well secured, reinstall the top cover. Plug back your components and speakers, making sure that the connections are tight and fully engaged into their jacks and binding posts. Also, make sure that all your connections are secure at the other end (all your other components). Everything at both ends (your receiver and your components, including speakers, subwoofer, TV, etc.) has to be tight and secure with all interconnects and speaker's wires fully inserted.
Plug back the power cord. Turn the receiver ON. Good luck...
