Has anyone had an opportunity to check out the Rocket 850?

Personally, I think they are great speakers. But also keep in mind that this particular price class is very competitive. Personally, I think this market is extremely over saturated! There are so many great speakers to choose from. It can be quite daunting. But take your time. it's worth the wait.
As for the Rocket's, I'm not going to try to sell you on them just because I own them. The only real way to know is to listen for yourself and decide, and keep your eye out for a sale. That's what I did. They have amazing sales from time to time. Don't pay full price for them!!!! Here is a deal from their website. Not sure if this is still going on though. It was limited quantity:

Also, if you scroll down from that page you will see some links to some reviews of them. They should give you a general idea of their particular sound. Just keep in mind that reviews are very subjective, but they are a good starting point.
What you should do is listen to as many speakers as you can and pick the winner. I think the Rocket's are an excellent choice to put on the list though. If you are ever in the area, feel free to stop by and have a listen! I'd love to help. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong by getting these. They are excellent! But again, buying speakers is such a personally decision. Everybody has their opinion.
