As we relax and listen to our music today, or watch a good movie, or fire up the grill, or just do nothing, let's not forget what this day is all about. The sacrifice of men and women in uniform everywhere around this country and around the world. And everyone who has ever served and sacrificed everything. God bless them. My uncle Harry, served in the South Pacific and was in combat against the Japanese in the Mariana islands. He is gone now, but the stories he told me and my brother, were just unimaginable. My grandfather was on a destroyer in the North Atlantic that tried to protect merchant ships from German U-boats.
