One ISP, multiple IP addresses

Do most or all internet service providers offer the ability to have multiple IP addresses on the same internet connection. I have two PS3s in my home and would like the ability to have more than one machine logged into different PSN accounts while playing the same game, something you cannot do when you have only one IP address. A friend of mine that comes over regularly cannot play the game I am playing online when I am playing it.

Just looking for a little extra info before I call Comcast and start asking questions without knowing exactly what it is that I am asking for.

I wonder if Vidalia would work for you Seth? Have you tried or heard of it before? It takes your IP address and bounces it all over the world so no one can tell where you are logging on or whos computer it really is. It is based in Europe kind of like Skype but it masks your IP so the Gov can't even get in. It is pissing off our big brother type government because all the server are in Europe and they can't trace or tap any of vidalias users at all....
https://www.torproject.org/vidalia/ is a link I dont know if it will help your problem but it sounds like a perfect app to try anyway.......

I'm thinking that will not work with the Playstation 3. If I had a server it might work.

No, I appreciate the input. A free option is always good. I would just have to get a server up and running to attempt that. I don't know if my server based machine would be fast enough though and I am dumb when it comes to computers. I just installed that program you linked me too, apparently it isn't installed correctly or something.

Error Starting Tor

Vidalia was unable to start Tor. Check your settings to ensure the correct name and location of your Tor executable is specified.

Static IPs on the home LAN wouldn't do anything since the traffic to the internet would still be originating from the same IP address as far as the PSN can see.

I'm surprised. I can use two XBox360s at the same time on Live behind one IP address.

You're basically asking Comcast for 2 static IPs. One static IP alone is $10/month extra I think from Comcast. Maybe $15, I don't remember exactly.

EDIT: Looks to me like you can use two PS3s behind the same IP address. I don't know why you're not able to.

EDIT: Seems some games have problems with it and others don't. What game?

GTA4, CoD4, and Frontlines are three games I found with that problem. Don't see a solution.

Sorry.
