One Extra Speaker

Our house is pre-wired with 6 speakers in the family room - 3 in the front and tree in the rear. I just received a Yamaha v2700 and am lost on how to set up the speakers. Three in the front and the left and right in the rear, but what should I do with the center speaker in the rear?

connect the one rear speaker to the surround back L speaker terminal.

then in the setup menu, specify only one speaker for surround back.
