Once more: Lip sync problem with TV sound

Sorry for bringing up this issue once again ...

My question now is:
When watching TV and having the TV's sound being processed to let's say Pro Logic II and amplified by an up-to-date AV-receiver, will it then be inevitable to experience noticable lip sync delay in any case???

I discussed that issue before: http://www.audioholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6763

I am pretty uncertain at this point whether I should return my model to the retailer or not. That would only be a waste of time if what I found wrong with my model would be the same basically with any other AV-receiver available. On the other hand, if not all receivers "feature" this lip sync problem but only those by YAMAHA, it would make no sense for me either to have my model exchanged for another one by YAMAHA ...

So, how should I decide?

Thanks a lot!

Its not just Yamaha. It's a problem with all receivers. they have come up with a new feature to fix this called audio delay. It allows the receiver to delay ALL channels of audio.

Well - great! My audio is already delayed, my friend ... that much that it is too much. That's my problem.

Oh, I must confess to not reading your original post closely enough.

I can't help you with AUDIO DELAY. The only other time I've heard of this particular problem was in your first post about it, which I didn't read until now.
