Hi,

On Wednesday (2 days) I have the first of 6 exams that will decide which University I go to. Hopefully I will get into the University of Bath to study for an MPharmacol in Pharmacology but if not then its Nottingham Trent to study for a Bsc in Pharmacology.

On Wednesday its my Biology resit of the unit I didn't do as well in as I would have liked in January. Got a C last time, need to get an A. Then got another Biology exam on the 25th, a Chemistry on the 17th and 28th and Physics on the 18th and 29th.

Wish me luck!

The Biology one on Wednesday was good - not going to be too optomistic though, just in case...

Chemistry one I just did was awful though, loads of really difficult stuff. Usually theres about 1 long essay style 6 - 10 mark question, there were 3! Everyone who did it said it was bad as well. Oh well, suppose when they moderate it it might get me a few more marks.

The Physics retake I just did was much better than when I did it last, so hopefully... I only need to get a C in both of my Physics exams to get a B anyway.

As I said, I just hope that when they moderate the Chemistry exams they drop the grade boundaries a bit. Basically they put all the results in the country on a normal distrubtion and if its too far to the right (i.e the test was too easy and too many people got A's, B's etc) then they raise the grade boundaries to try to get a perfect normal distribution. When its too hard though they do the opposite. Basically ensures supposedly that the exams are the same difficulty every year. It can really work to your advantage though, a friend did a Geography test a year ago that was so difficult you only needed 55% to get an A instead of the usual 80%
