It's not quite like that over here in Sweden.

Bankruptcy laws are very different and it is quite hard and onerous for years to discharge debt of any kind for a person (corporate is different where any f*cker is off the hook). There are limits of how much debt payments can be extracted but for sure it is no easy picnic.

Do you think the tariffs against Canada may be Trump going after Trudeau, in hopes that a more conservative replacement will follow? I know he has said it's about drugs and immigrants, but it's hard to imagine Trump and Trudeau being best buds. Even Poilievre is against these tariffs.

I don't think it's a Trump vs Trudeau thing, since Mexico is included, as well. And, Trump isn't known to show any favouratism towards conservative leaders - unless they're of Orban/Modi mold.

And yes, Doug Ford is still Premier of Ontario, which does not reflect well on those voters.
