My JBL 110s sound almost perfect and balanced, clear when on-axis and I have to be at correct distance and angle (toed-in) from them. (My bedroom (twin bed, desk) is not ideal 13'x15'x8'H.) When they are off-axis I get a good experience but not as good as the other. Is this because audio from each speaker takes different amount of time to reach my ears or is this issue partly related to room? Can I do anything or is this typical for most speakers? Does this issue vary from speaker to speaker?

Every speaker is going to measure differently on axis vs off axis, thats why you hear different sound. Some speakers perform good with litle or heavy toe in some dont need toe in. All my speakers i have, are set with very little toe in, and can be no toe in at all depending the placement as well. I like to listen this way as there is less direct sound from speakers.

Ideally the off axis response should mirror the on axis response. Your speakers will have a less than ideal off axis response. They are older speakers with a large front baffle and widely spaced drivers. You can expect significant lobing errors.
