On DSP and timing (using Crown XLS2000 to highpass mains)

I am considering setting up a properly bass managed system as follows:
Yamaha WXC-50 preamp:

The subwoofer output would go directly to the sub(s) which do not have DSP. Of course I will use the analog low pass filter at the sub.
The pre-outs will go to an xls2000 amp and I will use the DSP in the Crown to high pass the main speakers.
This preamp does not have a setup routine to sync the mains with the sub.

I remember when I had a clock radio in the kitchen and tried to listen to it with the radio on my Marantz SR-6001. The DSP (and ADC/DAC) delayed the signal such that the Marantz trailed the clock radio resulting in a not so great reverb effect in the hallway between them.

So, how much would the Crown delay the mains?
It seems like this could be a good thing as even with analog subs, my AVR tends to set the sub distance as farther away (IOW, delay the mains)!

Assuming the Crown amp has DSPs, there will be some delay, but no one could tell you how much without actually measuring. The delay could be between 10ms to 30ms. The difference this will make in practice is hard to say. I doubt its a big deal if the delay is closer to 10ms.
