Hi, newb here -- did a search, didn't find anything (sorry if I missed it).
Is there a recipe for an omnidirectional speaker? I'd like to improve upon the Pioneer CS-06 design (the downward firing woofer into nothing, for example; the fact that all drivers back into each other for another), but I know nothing about speaker design (as of yet). Anything out there already that I can cut my teeth on?
Recently found out that one can get Focal drivers, and since I like their speakers, will probably use those, but might also start with full range drivers (such as the Visaton B200) and just try to get (essentially) a sub and supertweeter to add to it. How would that work, if I wanted to power multiple drivers -- drive them in parallel? Wouldn't that lower the impedance? How would I raise the impedance back up? Should I put one in series with the other two in parallel? Or would I just put all three in series and do something at the crossover to compensate?
