I have a 42inch olevia LCD. I had the picture streched because I didn't like the the black bars on the sides. I accidentially shut off the power strip. When I turned it back on I guess it reset some things. Now I cannot remember how to set the picture without the bars on the left and right. Anyone with any thoughts? TIA.

There should be an "aspect" button on the remote. Hit that until it says "full screen."

I did that and it is on full screen. It only stays on full screen. I can't remember how I got it to work the first time.

Buckeyefan, great game Saturday.

I have this tv too,

If you push the aspect button once, it merely tells you which aspect you are in. You must then push aspect again (before the display dissapears) in order to toggle through the various aspect ratios.

Actually, once your TV says 'full screen' then you ALSO must press the 'aspect' button on your cable box remote. The cable box is most often the culprit as if it is outputting 1080i or 720p constantly to your TV, then it is generating black bars which you display can't remove.

Use cable box aspect ratio control on that remote.
