Olevia LT37HVS, a good buy?

I just bought the Olevia LT37HVS at target.com. They are having this sale for $1399. I read the very positive review for the smaller olevia here. I certainly hope that i'm making the right decision. I know Buckeyefan is Olevia's fan, what do you think? Any thoughts? I can still cancel the order.

I think they now make some excellent displays. Their older sets were decent, but their newer ones are looking exceptionally good at first glance.

They are not great about getting us products for review so I haven't been able to evaluate the latest batch.

Thank you for the quick response. The TV is scheduled to arrive around May 2-6 so I still have time to reconsider. If by any chance you have been able to review it, I'll jump on it.

Olevia Rocks! I love it. So far, it all looks good. I'll post some pic later.

the wife and i have a small 26 inch in the kitchen.

the technology they use is great.

in fact intel was going to use it as well, but burned the project.

anyways, getting in touch with their customer service could be a challenge though.

it's a small company with great products.

worth the price and quality.

i think they have some of the best contrast ration/brightness levels around for an lcd.

of course a bravia is probably better, but also $2000 more.

My uncle just purchased the new Bravia 40" LCD for his dental office. I'll let you know how it compares (how much better it is ) to my folks LT37HVS in a week or so. They absolutely love the Olevia, and the sound that comes from the built in speakers. Syntax is very behind on the rebates from the holidays. They sold so many they had to hire extra help to process the rebates. I'm about to call Microcenter again on this, as Syntax is not returning emails.

I've had mine since December. I can't say enough good about it -- especially since I paid so much less than the others.

The rebate situation is true. I just got mine ~14 weeks.

After taking considering so long on whether i should subscribe to local cable company to get the HD broadcast, i finally decide this is the time. It's world cup season, so i can watch the soccer in HD. This TV delivers very very nice picture. I can't complain...the contrast and brightness are exceptionally good for its price.
