Going from 2 ch to HT and multi zone
Have carver hr 750 with klipsch 2 ch and love it , clear amazing, and gets a lot of complainants
and now sounds even better after doing some aucustic treatments thanks to AH
Have very old Yamaha ,new plastic era from back in day supposed to be same power and it sounds like crap
So i have been gun shy of plastic or newer units since and held on to carver
never had a pre amp set up and now want to switch to Ht and mutlizone
Debating to throwing a high quality amp at the carver and call it a day
Are These newer high quality AVR and Pre amp set ups going to have that sames great sound , different or Worse ? or a me away difference if i pick the right gear ?

I have heard one nice integrea with book shelf & klischps sound good in a showroom but i assuming it had a para sound amp with it ?
The other integera was 150w of greatness on ht but poop on audio was a $6000 system with china kilpsch speakers that had atmos speakers top of the towers and a huge sub
what gives ??? I am ready to spend some $$$ to up grade but dont want to be disappointed
