old system, new owner

I see there are alot of newbies out there. ME included. I recently inherited a Pioneer VSX D1S receiver, DVL-90 DVD/LD player, Sony TXD R11 CD player and AMI speakers EFX and Center. Also Infinty RS-4b speakers. Everything looks great, but have no clue on how to hook it all together. No idea what speaker goes where..how to connect to TV. and all those controls, so baffling. any help would greatly be appriciated.

Try to download a manual for the receiver off the pioneer site.
Next, read the audioholics primers on connecting your system and placement of speakers. You should use the best sounding speakers as your front left and right channels. For a 5.1 system, you will also need a center channel, left and right surrounds, and a subwoofer.
