A buddy of mine just showed me a pair of speakers he inherited from his dad. The single-page instructions listed them as University Speakers, I forget the series, but the model as 200. They claim to be 2-way with an internal "mechanical" crossover at 1k. It almost looks like there's a concentric-mount tweeter kind of like the Tannoys, but bigger & integrated such that it looks more like a dust cap. The woofer is 8" Other specs listed as 35watt peak, 35-15k response & 8-16 ohm. They are apparently from the '60s. Just wondering if anyone has heard of them. In his carefully cobbled together cabinets to the specs listed they sounded surprisingly good.
