I have a old set of KLH model #355 3-way loudspeakers. I would like to replace the tweeters and mid-range speakers. I really do not know the size of the speakers but guessing they are 4inch total for the tweeters including the speaker, and the mids are about 5 1/4 all togather ( square shape with a metal dome)? Any help would be great.

pull the mid and tweet out(make sure you mark the wires for positive and negative, and also for which speaker it goes to), then measure the hole size. next, go to parts express and do a little searching, you'll find everything you need. if you have trouble, post the hole sizes and i'll help you out

I Lokked at the mids last night and the only problem I see is the speaker hole is
4 3/4 total for the speaker to fit into, and the holder(for the speaker) which is 5 3/4 total. The speaker box it's self has a 4 3/4 circle opening with the 5 3/4 by 5 3/4 square edged into it to mount the speaker. But the total of the speaker is 4inchs. The holder for the speaker has a mess grill outside and the clips to connect the +/-. It also has a circle ring inside also. looking at some speakers at parts express I really couldn't find anything? Any input would be great, and THANKS in advance for your help.

do you know anyone with a router, or maybe a wood shop close by? they could make the holes the right size for the new drivers for probably a few bucks, search for these mids at PE #289-025, $3 apiece. and these tweets #270-160, $7 apiece. if you could get the holes done these would make nice additions, also make sure that the wire going to the tweet has a capacitor, you would not want to run a straight signal to it,

those speakers are so cheap, you would be better off buying new ones.
