I have just got some new floorstanding speakers and PA amplifier! I am running my PA amp thro my line out on 5.1 sound card! The active amplifier built into sub is broken. Does anyone know the best way to add (creative s750) sub?

Should I:
A) Get active amp repaired by professional and add to orange line out (sub channel).

B) Do the above but remove active amp and place within dedicated enclosure (awkward, but could resolve overheating issues in future).

C) Remove entire active amp, then find blanking plate, sub crossover and connect to PA amplifier.

D) None of the above. suggestions anyone?

Getting it repaired would most likely not be cost effective.

Depending on the dimensions on the sub and the amount of money you want to put into it you could get a new active amp. They start around 40 dollar :

you have an extra already lfe filtered amplified channel a blank plate and external hookup quickly ends up being more expensive than just getting a new plate amp.

plate amps can also be found used on ebay and craigslist for very little money.

I got a 600 watt bash plate amp off craigslist for 15 dollar after my daughter emptied her juice cup into the port of my sub..
