My guess is that it's just labeled like that because it's the only outlet with enough space around it to fit a transformer block. A lot of strips are like that - they'll have so many outlets with only a few of them spaced far enough apart to accomodate transformer blocks. I'll bet that all of the outlets have voltage regulation.

Oh OK that makes more sense. I havent heard anyone call a wall wart a "transformer" in a LONG time so I didn't even think of it. Thanks Adam.
