I have a friend who recently picked up a 26" Samsung LCD. I can't get down to his house to assist so here is the question:eek: . He just reformatted his hard drive on his laptop. He bought the LCD after this took place. He has a Dell laptop. He is telling me that he can not get the LCD to display with his computer. He called Dell and they said they would be happy to help, after of course he pays them $100.00. He has the proper cable to hook it up and has hooked it up and yet no picture on the Samsung LCD. I had him go into the control panel and display settings etc. but he can not get it to display. Any help would surely be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like when the disc got reformatted the driver for the external video output didn't get reloaded. I would first try loading the newest video driver from either ATI or Nvidea (whichever it is).
