ok,I finally finished a center speaker journey!

it was time to upgrade my ht,

I picked up my Onkyo 806,and love it!

then I bought an Infinity PC350 in late November,for my center channel,
I already had Infinity Primus 150's in the front,so I figured a good 3 way infinity would be the best one,

well,I played with it for 5 weeks,adjusting the angle,adjusting the AVR til I was blue in the face,and I just couldn't ever get good with the sound of the PC350,so I knew I had til 01/30 to return it for a refund.

so the other day I went and bought a def tech pro center 1000 and a paradigm CC190,and went to testing them,I first tried each one with the settings I had, just to see,

and then I ran Audyssey with each of them,
I am very happy I did it this way,it was a pain,but well worth it.
( and say what you will about my methods & choices to try,but IMO it worked for me)

well IMO the paradigm blew the other 2 out of the ball park,I am amazed with the sound of it!I love it,



I love it so much I ordered a CC190 in "rosenut v6(I am returning the cc190 blk v5,the store I bought it from is letting me use it until my 3 speakers come in) and 2 Mini monitors for the front in "rosenut"v6,

so my long hard road to the right speaker/s is over LOL

needless to say I will eventually get the rear surrounds from them too.

I am definitely sold on Paradigm !

hey listen,I like this site, I know what I can spend,and I know this is'nt a $8000 super high end system,but for now it's making me happy.

LOL I know I'm a "new guy" here,and I don't want to step on any toes,and I didn't mean anything against any other speaker brands,but this "in home" test really was great,and I discovered that there is a huge difference in speakers,I know there are other speakers in those lines and many other lines also,but my range for center being 200-300$ these were my test choices.
I know I am a "new guy" also to higher end HT,I am always learning for sure !

maybe my choice of words in "blowing out of the ball park" was wrong to say,they are all good speakers,

but,
plain and simple,I liked the sound of the paradigm's the best.

anyway,now while I wait for the speakers to come home to me,I will start my speaker stand upgrade project,pictures to come.

a post doesn't turn into a left and right scrollathon for those of us with
regular monitors.

There's nothing wrong with liking what you like.
So long as it's the same thing that I like.
Actually I have the Infinity PC350. I like it so much that I'm happy just
looking at pictures of it. Mmm Mmm Mmm that sure is a sexy center.

and 2 Mini monitors for the front in "rosenut"v6,

Even though I really hit my stride in the 80's my screen resolution actually is 1024x768 .
