Oil For Technics sl-1200 MK2

I've had my Technics since 1997 and have never oiled the spindle shaft. I want to make damn sure I don't use the wrong oil. Is there anything off-the-shelf that I can use? Perhaps watch / clock oil? Tips on application technique?

The only info I've seen is to apply 2 to 3 drops of oil every 2000 hours.
The oil Technics part number is SFWO 010.
That's all I've got. Best to wait for a more definitive answer from one of the turntable guys here.
I'm sure there must be a universal lubricant that they know of.
