At least their smart enough to not direct link the photos.

You could have some fun if they did that.

My guess is they did a google images search for the photo's not even thinking about where they came from.

Sell him the rights to your pictures... tell him you want a cut of the profit from all the sales that your pics were used in.

How do copyright laws apply in this case? Would Yettitheman have had to apply some sort of watermark or tag?

It just occurred to me to use mike c's pic's and tell people that it's a system that I put together for a billionaire in Manila. "He was so happy with the sound he actually named the little fella after me, Little Alex they call him."

I'm running Firefox now. I installed ABP and NoScript. I'm still seeing ads but can't use smilies. This is on my new laptop. I can't remember how I got around this problem on my desktop a few months ago.

HELP! :D

Nevermind. :p

Edit: Allow Audioholics and Forbid Googlesyndication or something like that took care of the above problems.

When I was in college, a buddy of mine visited Rome and he was a pretty good photographer, anyway he sent his pics to a kodak like developer to get developed. Well a month later he and I go back to drop off more film and we notice they used three of his pcs in a advertising campaign (posters all over the photo shops walls. My buddy was pissed, luckily I worked for a lawyer at the time, who took the case as a favor to me. Anyway when all was said and done, they couldn't use my buddies pics without permission and compensation and had to hand over all the extra copies and posters they had made.

If they had just asked my buddy permission to use them, he would've said yes and been proud to allow his work to be displayed, but they just "stole" the copies and used them to promote their business. A big no-no.

That's why I have a "for sale" section in Photobucket, and once I am done with it, I delete it. You can always photoshop it and put your name on it (watermark or just some obvious text somewhere) so that it will be quite obvious to someone else if the photo has been tampered with too.

I just reported this again. I will do this every day I do not receive an email.
I'm being serious.

I'm sure there is a nice little cease-and-desist letter you can send them.

*a couple minutes later...*

ooo man, I'm a genius...

Here you go. I think that is a good framework upon which to make your intentions clear. :D

Dear Canuck Audio Mart:

It has come to my attention that two users on record going by the alias of "srock_00" ( http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/userprofile.php?user_id=8096 ) and "hungtoronto" ( http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/userprofile.php?user_id=11285 ) which will now from herein be referred to as "parties", have made an unauthorized use of my copyrighted work entitled [DSCF0078.jpg, DSCF0086.jpg, DSCF0087.jpg, DSCF0089.jpg, DSCF0093.jpg] (the "Work") [working reference: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g297/yettitheman/HT/DSCF0078.jpg, http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g297/yettitheman/HT/DSCF0086.jpg, http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g297/yettitheman/HT/DSCF0087.jpg, http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g297/yettitheman/HT/DSCF0089.jpg, http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g297/yettitheman/HT/DSCF0093.jpg)] in the preparation of a work derived therefrom.

I have reserved all rights in the Work, first published in [July 30, 2007], [pursuant of Copyright Law of the United States of America and Related Laws Contained in Title 17 of the United States Code, Circular 92 ]. Said parties work entitled [http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=747479&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=747472&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=820825&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=820846&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=820839&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=820832&is_user=0 ]is essentially identical to the Work and clearly used the Work as its basis.
[Party alias "hungtoronto" directly copied and pasted onto the site, my original work, as all details of my originals stay perfectly intact, save for a resize of the images and a lower right image added by the website. Party alias "srock_00" took into consideration consequences of violating copyright law and willingly and knowingly modified DSCF0078.jpg and DSCF0089.jpg into images http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=747479&is_user=0 and http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=747472&is_user=0 , respectively. The power cord on all forged images is clearly bent and in the exact same location as my original works. The scratch on my original work DSCF0078.jpg, is the same as http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=747479&is_user=0 , scratch being withheld above Tape 2 Monitor. Original work DSCF0089.jpg, has been knowingly forged with http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=747472&is_user=0, as by removing the serial number off the back of the unit pictured. Also, as you can see in my original work, a 4 pin Molex (copyright reserved) power connector, and a small purple box containing Cooler Master (copyright reserved) fans. On the forged images, they are chopped off, but barely visible.]

As parties neither asked for nor received permission to use the Work as the basis for [http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=747479&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=747472&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=820825&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=820846&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=820839&is_user=0 ; http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/image.php?image=820832&is_user=0 ] nor to make or distribute copies, including electronic copies, of same, I believe said parties have willfully infringed my rights under 17 U.S.C. Section 101 et seq. as well as violation of section 506 (a)(1)(A), and could be liable for statutory damages as high as $150,000 as set forth in Section 504(c)(2) therein.

I demand that your site immediately cease the use and distribution of all infringing works derived from the Work, and all copies, including electronic copies, of same, that you deliver to me, if applicable, all unused, undistributed copies of same, or destroy such copies immediately and that you desist from this or any other infringement of my rights in the future. If I have not received an affirmative response from you by [Friday, March 13, 2009] indicating that you have fully complied with these requirements, I shall take further action against you.

Very truly yours,
yettitheman (my name insert here obviously)
