My Sony STR-DE475 started acting up [shown in 'Alternative To True Surround' thread]. I replaced it with a Yamaha HTR-5830. What a huge difference for the better in many ways. Unfortunately, the HTR-5830 is a tattle tale. It revealed some prominent shortcomings with my Optimus ProX55AV speakers. Time to find some better speakers of about the same size. The Cambridge Soundworks Basscube 8s sounds much better through this receiver though. Still, this is much better than computer speaker systems. Hopefully, I can come back and change the speaker image when I get some other speakers.
