i know, i know, another subwoofer question... when will people finally catch on that anyone looking for a sub should buy an svs/outlaw/hsu sub??
well, thats where i come in. ive looked and looked at them, but im curious, has anybody here actually used/heard/reviewed a more obscure sub? ive been looking around at *gasp* other a/v sites and have run into the earthquake mkv-15 a number of times, and while the reviews are all positve, i have neither the budget, space or, im afraid, structural integrity to justify purchasing one of these. also on my mind are Sunfire subs, Adire, and if there are any DIY kits available that could be recommended to me.
By the by, my budget is anywhere from 500 to 1500 bones

anyway, thanks for the help

Steve42 (typo?) pushes the Earthquake alot (In a good way ;) ). The sinfire units don't seem to have much restecpa (look it up) here.

Nothing against those brands (I haven't heard them), but there are some other good subwoofer brands which actually aren't all that obscure. For example, M&K (http://www.mksound.com) makes excellent subs in a variety of price ranges. I have one and I'm completely satisfied with it. Unlike some of the mail-order brands, M&K has actual dealers where you can hear their products (which is where I bought mine), as well as an online store of their own.
