NuForce Icon/T-amp enough to power 6.5" bookshelves?

I'm currently using a pair of Athena AS-B2.2s with a Sherwood receiver as my computer audio setup. However, I'm moving into an apartment with some friends soon and its unlikely I'll have room for a normal sized receiver/amp. I'm really liking the Icon, but will it be enough to power my Athenas to room filling volume? I know there are some more powerful T-amps out there, but at the $300+ range I'd rather just sell everything and buy a pair of AudioEngine A5s. Thoughts?
