987 hands down

The 987 is much newer (~2006) and includes many features not available on a 3200 (circa 1997), for instance the 987 has:

7.1-channel (5.1 channels on 3200)

110 watts per channel (80 watts on 3200)

Auto Setup (none on 3200)

HDMI, 2 in, 1 out (none on 3200)

Surround modes: DTS 96/24; DTS-ES 6.1; DTS NEO:6; Dolby Digital EX; Dolby Pro Logic IIx; and Neural Surround (DD only on 3200)
