Novice looking for subwoofer help

I am building my first HT. I recently bought the Onkyo RC270. The next step is to look for a subwoofer and satellite speaker. In regards to the subwoofer I need some advise for the the following units.

I am also torn between this subwoofer and these:

Polk Audio PSW505

BIC America F12

Klipsch RW-12d Subwoofer

The room size is 14x13. Up to the middle sofa is 14. The room itself is half living room and the other half is the kitchen. Up to the kitchen entrance the size is length 22ft.

So it's an open room? Hmm. Perhaps look into a pair of Dayton Sub 120s or Lavasub 12"

Stay away from satellites. Get bookshelves. Behringer 2030ps or Infinity 163s are the popular choices for budget bookshelves. EMP e5Bis are a nice choice and my suggestion for home theater, although for music I think they don't have deep enough extension to blend all that well with a sub at 80hz.
