Nothing, MLV or Green glue?

Hi all.

Am about to embark on the building of a studio in my loft. Am pretty much most of the way there, but would like som opinions on what would be best for dampening.

Essentially, I would like some advice on what to sandwich inbetween two layers of plasterboard

a) Nothing - The price is right :)

b) Mass loaded vinyl - The theory works

c) Green glue - I presume, simpler than MLV, but new territory here in the UK

What do you think would be most beneficial?

Cheers in advance!

I'd agree with your assessment. Nothing between the plasterboard is a missed opportunity. MLV will add mass, but so does adding more plasterboard. MLV will not damp that plasterboard.

Green Glue will damp the board. Less expensive than the MLV
